Transparency in environmental impact. Here is a full accounting of our sustainability initiatives, recycling metrics, carbon reduction efforts, and the goals we are working toward.
The waste management industry has a direct and significant impact on the environment. Every dumpster we deliver, every load we haul, and every material we process represents a choice: send it to a landfill or find a better path. We are committed to making the better choice as often as possible.
This report provides an honest assessment of where we stand today, what we have accomplished, and the concrete steps we are taking to reduce our environmental footprint. We publish this annually because we believe transparency is the foundation of real progress.
Measurable results from our sustainability initiatives over the past year.
Thousands
Tons of Waste Diverted from Landfills
Through our hauler partnerships and recycling sorting programs, we diverted thousands of tons of recyclable materials from landfills in 2025.
Growing
Overall Recycling Rate
Across all rentals, a growing percentage of collected materials were recycled or repurposed, and we continue to improve year over year. Our goal is 50% by 2027.
Significant
Metric Tons CO2 Offset
Route optimization, fuel-efficient fleet partnerships, and carbon offset purchases have meaningfully reduced our net carbon footprint.
Hundreds
Trees Planted
Through our reforestation partnership with One Tree Planted, we have funded the planting of hundreds of trees: one for every 10 rentals completed.
The programs and technologies driving our sustainability progress.
Our proprietary routing algorithms reduce unnecessary truck trips by matching customers with the closest qualified hauler. This lowers fuel consumption, reduces emissions, and gets dumpsters to customers faster.
We partner with materials recovery facilities (MRFs) in every major market to sort and recycle construction debris, metals, wood, cardboard, and other recoverable materials from our dumpsters.
For every 10 dumpster rentals completed, we fund the planting of one tree through our partnership with One Tree Planted. To date, we have planted hundreds of trees across the United States and continue to grow the program.
Our portable restroom and shower trailer operations use water-efficient fixtures and biodegradable cleaning products. We track water usage per unit and set annual reduction targets.
For emissions we cannot yet eliminate, we purchase verified carbon offsets from reforestation, methane capture, and renewable energy projects. All offsets are Gold Standard or VCS certified.
Every hauler in our network must meet minimum environmental standards including proper waste disposal licensing, recycling capabilities, and regular equipment maintenance to minimize emissions.
The targets we are working toward over the next 18 months. We report progress on each goal in our quarterly internal reviews.
Expanding recycling sorting partnerships and on-site guidance programs to increase the percentage of materials diverted from landfills.
Transitioning fleet partners toward EV and CNG vehicles, expanding carbon offset purchases, and investing in renewable energy for our facilities.
Developing a zero-waste framework for all sponsored community cleanup events, with on-site recycling, composting, and material recovery stations.
Creating transparent sustainability scorecards for every hauler in our network, measuring recycling rates, fuel efficiency, and environmental compliance.
Scaling our One Tree Planted partnership to fund thousands of additional tree plantings by end of 2027. We continue to grow our cumulative total year over year.
Investing in advanced route optimization technology and expanding local hauler coverage to reduce empty miles and total distance traveled per delivery.
We work with organizations that share our commitment to environmental stewardship and community impact.
