How the Visit Goes
The crew arrives in your window and walks the job with you (or works from your marked pile if you are not there). You confirm what goes, they confirm the truckload tier by the actual space your items take, and then the carrying starts. Everything gets loaded, the area gets swept, and the truck leaves with the whole problem on it. For most jobs, the part you have dreaded for months is over inside the visit.

A quarter truckload is a few items: a couch set, an appliance, a small garage corner. A half truckload handles whole rooms of furniture and clutter. Not necessarily. If the items are accessible, at the curb, in a driveway or garage, or a clearly marked pile, the crew can complete the pickup and send you confirmation. For indoor removals, someone just needs to let the crew in and point out what goes.

It comes down to labor and time. If you want to work at your own pace over days and do not mind loading, a dumpster rental costs less for the same volume.
