Every dumpster company prices by hauls: one drop-off plus one pickup. Sizing up front is almost always cheaper than hauling twice.
The hauls math:
Don't get a 10-yard if the job really needs three of them. A 30-yard up front might cost an extra $300 to $500, but a 10-yard hauled three times can run an extra $1,000 or more. When in doubt, size up or ask; it's the cheapest insurance in this business.

Everything. The flat rate covers delivery, a 7-day rental period, pickup, disposal, and an included weight allowance (1 ton on a 10-yard up to 4 tons on a 40-yard). The number quoted is the number paid. No fuel surcharges or admin fees appear later.

7 days come standard with every rental. Extra days typically run $40 to $50 per day depending on your area, and your exact rate is shown with your quote. If you already know the job will run long, tell us up front and we build the price around it.

The load is weighed at the disposal facility after pickup, and anything over your included tonnage bills per ton on the final invoice. Across most of the country that runs $150 to $185 per ton; dense metro areas like New York City run higher. Your exact overage rate is listed with your quote, so there are no surprise numbers.

Usually, if you order by around noon. In some areas during slower seasons we can do same-day up to 4pm, case by case. The best move is placing the order as early as possible so dispatch can route the closest driver. We like to say we're the Amazon of dumpster rentals: some places and times it's same-day, sometimes next-day, but we deliver as soon as possible, every time.

On your own property (driveway, yard, private lot) usually no. On a public street, many towns require a permit and every jurisdiction writes its own rules, so ask your project manager when you order and they check exactly what your address needs. In New York City we pull the street permit for you: $75 for a 5-day DOT permit that renews while you keep the container.

Set out protection before the driver arrives and tell us it's there: plywood, 2x4s, boards, pavers, or mats all work, and the driver will place the container right on them. The homeowner or job site provides the material. In some areas we can supply protection ourselves, but in markets served by smaller partner haulers we can't always relay every request, so putting your own down is the reliable play.

Truly prohibited: hazardous materials like paint, chemicals, and asbestos. Almost everything else is a landfill charge, not a ban. Mattresses, tires, and appliances are accepted at most facilities for a per-item fee that varies by area: one landfill charges $75 for a mattress and box spring, another charges nothing. We don't set landfill rates, but we're transparent about them. Call or text us, we phone the facility, get the exact rate, and relay it straight back.

Yes, in a dedicated heavy-material box: concrete, dirt, brick, and sand ride in 10 to 20-yard containers only, on separate heavy-material rates. Never mix heavy material with regular junk. Mixed loads bill at the highest per-ton garbage rates (roughly $50 up to $250 per ton by area), while a dedicated heavy box disposes far cheaper. The only time mixing makes sense is a small amount, under about 2 tons. Call for heavy-material rates in your ZIP.

Order a swap-out. We haul the full container and drop a fresh one in the same spot: new invoice, new rental days, fresh included tonnage. Jobs running multiple swap-outs usually earn repeat-business discounts of $25 to $50 per box, especially for contractors and Pro Program members.

With at least 48 hours notice before your delivery date, yes, full refund. Canceling inside that 48-hour window carries a flat $375 dispatch fee, because a dispatch schedule change costs real time in the office and the field. For $25, cancellation insurance removes that risk entirely: cancel any time, as long as the driver isn't already en route to your site.
Answered by Michael V., Head of Operations
About 60 feet of straight-line approach and 25 feet of overhead clearance. The truck sends the container up in the air on rails to load and unload, so watch for wires, gutters, tree limbs, and roof edges. If anything overhead worries you, call before delivery day. We pull your address up on the map and evaluate it with you, and only the driver should be near the dumpster while it's in operation.
