The general rule is 1 porta potty per 50 guests for a 4-hour event. For all-day events, plan for 1 per 25-35 guests. If alcohol is served, increase by 20%. For construction sites, OSHA requires 1 unit per 20 workers for a 40-hour week.

Most restroom trailers need a standard 110V electrical connection and a nearby water source (garden hose). Some luxury models have onboard freshwater tanks and generators for fully self-contained operation. Ask your provider about hookup requirements when booking.

Standard servicing (typically weekly) includes pumping waste, sanitizing the interior, restocking toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and deodorizing. For events, pre-delivery cleaning and post-event pumping are included in the rental price.
