Kitchen Remodel

Kitchen remodels generate a concentrated burst of heavy debris in a short time. On demo day, your contractor tears out cabinets, countertops, backsplash tile, flooring, and sometimes walls. That material (particleboard, granite or laminate countertops, ceramic tile, hardwood or vinyl flooring, drywall, and old plumbing fixtures) needs somewhere to go immediately so the new installation can begin.

A dumpster on site during your kitchen remodel keeps the demolition debris contained and out of your living space. Your contractor loads the old materials directly into the container instead of piling them in your garage or yard. For most standard kitchen remodels (100-200 square feet of kitchen space), a 10 or 15-yard dumpster handles the demo debris with room for packaging waste from new cabinets and materials.

If your kitchen remodel includes removing a wall, changing the floor plan, or replacing subflooring, you may generate enough additional debris to warrant a 20-yard container. When in doubt, size up. The cost difference between a 15 and 20-yard is small compared to the hassle and expense of needing a second container.
